Panama City Congregation’s Religious School Visits Dothan

November 10, 2009

On Sunday November 8th, students and teachers from Temple B’nai Israel of Panama City spent the day at Dothan’s Temple Emanu-El.

The two congregations continue to work closely together to produce top quality joint educational programming twice each year (autumn in Dothan and spring in Panama City).

Sunday’s religious school day in Dothan was awesome, attended by an aggregate of 20 students and 4 teachers as well as this region’s two education fellows from the Institute for Southern Jewish Living, Alli Goldman and Molly Glazer.

The educational program revolved around the theme of Jewish Literacy, in honor of Jewish Literacy Month. After the program, we all enjoyed a delicious pizza luncheon and cake for those who were celebrating birthdays in November.

No leftovers !

This initiative is proving to be an important opportunity for the two congregations’ continued cooperation, mutual support, quality education, and fun.
