Two Neighboring Synagogue’s Enjoy a Social Event

May 28, 2009

It’s always fun when congregants of neighboring synagogues meet each other, renew and/or establish positive relationships, play “Jewish Geography,” and, of course, eat and laugh together.

So it was on Saturday May 2, 2009 when 20 congregants of Dothan’s Temple Emanu-El and 40 members of Temple B’nai Israel of Albany, GA enjoyed the day together essentially half-way in between at The Quail Country Plantation in Arlington, GA.

The mixer and sit-down dinner was arranged by Dothan’s President Dr. Barbara Minsky and Rabbi Lynne Goldsmith in partnership with Albany’s President David Prisant and Rabbi Dana Kaplan.

The 3500 acre plantation/wildlife habitat, and its 14,000 square foot lodge, was the perfect setting for a glorious celebration.
