Associated Press Visits Dothan – Welcome to the Reed family

March 3, 2009

On February 18, 2009, Dothan was visited by the Associated Press (AP) to interview the first family moved to Dothan under Blumberg Family Jewish Community Services (BFJCS) Family Relocation Project.

Correspondent Jay Reeves, photographer Dave Martin, and AP Television News Network reporter/videographer Jason Bronis spent the morning interviewing Matthew and Michelle Reed as well as their two young boys, Ayden and Samuel.

During the afternoon, the AP visitors interviewed Larry Blumberg (BFJCS Chair) and Rabbi Lynne Goldsmith at Dothans synagogue, Temple Emanu-El.

Dothans Jewish community and the BFJCS is honored and excited to receive this continued international attention — proof positive that our family relocation project is a truly distinctive, vital and most worthy initiative.
