Temple’s DeliDay 2010 – A Roaring Success

April 28th was “Deli Day” at Dothan’s Temple Emanu-El.
An army of congregants joined with restauranteur Steve Dubrinsky of Birmingham’s “Max’s Deli” to build and sell 1245 bagged lunches consisting of a kosher corned beef sandwich on rye, spicy deli mustard, chips, half a kosher pcikle, and an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie.
Steve was on-site and really enjoyed being in the Temple kitchen with 30 volunteers cutting pickles and making sandwiches at dawn.
Deli Day was a fabulous fundraising success for the Temple. We are truly amazed by the greater Dothan community’s support of the event and look forward to an even bigger and better Deli Day 2011.
